Edit for meaning before measuring length.

Enter a title, description and absolute HTTP(S) URL. Compare the desktop and mobile sketches to see how the same wording wraps. The title and description counters count grapheme clusters, so a combined emoji is counted as one visible character. Neither counter predicts an engine’s truncation point.

What the preview means

The desktop sketch is at most 600 pixels wide and the mobile sketch at most 360 pixels; both shrink to fit your screen. The title is limited to two visible lines and the description to two desktop or three mobile lines. These are this tool’s display choices, not search-engine specifications. A long unbroken word may wrap differently elsewhere.

The tool does not fetch the URL, inspect its current metadata, download its favicon, or predict the query-dependent snippet. The displayed URL omits query parameters and fragments for readability; the tool does not change your page. The downloaded tags contain only your title and description, not an automatically chosen canonical.

Use the result

Compare drafts against the reader’s task, review the actual page, and apply any metadata changes through your normal publishing process. Google says title links and snippets may use information beyond the supplied tags, and their display depends on the available width.
