Describe identifying features, where the piece will go and what needs approval before production. A screen image alone does not represent final size.
Choose a photograph for its details
Find a focused image showing eyes, fur and distinctive features without objects covering the face. Compare several photographs: an amusing pose may be a lovely memory while failing to show the details needed for the commission.
Use a photograph you own or are permitted to share. Remove unnecessary people or seek permission before sending it. Keep the original file instead of relying on a compressed social-media screenshot.
Explain the intention through clear references
Gatitos Clásicos presents cat-themed pictures and personalized art options. Explore the project to understand its visual language and ask about current commission conditions.
Explain which feature matters: a look, a fur marking or an expression. Separate that priority from color or composition preferences. For a gift, consider the recipient’s taste as well as the buyer’s enthusiasm.
Bring the commission into the actual space
- Measure the wall and consider nearby furniture.
- Check the offered piece’s dimensions, orientation and presentation.
- Ask how previews are reviewed and which changes are included.
- Confirm production, shipping and conditions before assuming a delivery date.
You can mark the dimensions using a removable reference suitable for the wall surface. Do not infer scale from an unmeasured catalog photograph. Perceived color can also vary between screen, lighting and material.
Give actionable approval feedback
Review the proposal against the brief. Instead of “it does not look right,” identify the changed detail: a marking’s position, ear shape or gaze direction. Group comments so the revision has one common reference.
Our positioning guide shows how to distinguish priorities from decoration. Use the Content Brief Builder to organize intent, references and questions; it does not place an order or confirm terms with the artist.
